Being Gay Inside of Fundamentalism edition by Jeanine Russell Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
This book is inspiring and educational. I would recommend to anyone struggling with who they are and their relationship with Christ.
Coming from the background, I knew Exactly how she struggled. And you will too!! Thank you for telling your story .
I enjoyed the author's honesty, openness and authenticity. The Scriptures used were very important to the message of the book. And the closing chapter is very touching.
Thoughtfully and beautifully written from the heart by my good friend. This definitely shows the struggle she went thru and gives guidance to people who may be coming from this same place in trying to understand the way forward to acceptance and love.
Great perspective, thorough research by author, and "from-the-heart", beautifully expressed telling of her story. I love the way she addressed letters to each group of people to geared toward their beliefs and points of view.
I am so glad that the author and I graduated from high school together or I may have missed this book! This is the candid and thought-provoking story of a lifelong struggle to reconcile her steadfast commitment to her fundamental Christian faith and life with the sexual identify of her true self. Her life is bravely laid bare in this book, and presented in a unique way that reads fast but lasts with the reader forever Her research of the meaning and context of Biblical scriptures pertaining to homosexual behavior lends a scholarly discourse to her ultimate resolution and the peace she has found. Jeanine has built a very big bridge with this book. Come on and walk across it with her... there is unconditional love on the other side. THIS READ IS FOR EVERYONE because we all have an LGBT somewhere in our lives (oh yes we do!).
