This book is just plain fun from page one to the last. I loved getting into Nick's head a little to understand his thought processes where Layla is concerned. And I love tough-as-nails Layla with her unpredictable nature!One thing I thoroughly appreciate from Jasinda Wilder is that her *HOT* scenes are just that! They are SO not cookie cutter as are so many of them in this genre. Layla's seductive ways are imaginative and unpredictable and very, very hot. But she is also tricky and smart and manages to impress the rest of Nick's team. And wasn't it fun to get to know some of the other guys better as well?! I am SO looking forward to the next book about Thresh!
When reading any of the books in this original series and the spin-offs... you'll never be a bored reader! A smart, strong, beautiful woman, an equally strong, smart and gorgeous hero, plenty of hot guys an exciting plot and lots of steamy action. It's a winning combination!

This continues from Alpha, Beta Omega series...this is the story of Harris and Layla. Layla is a beautiful, tough woman who spent her who life in Detroit. She has lived a rough life, with rough people, and rough circumstances. Harris is a former ranger who for years worked for Valentine Roth; once Roth and his wife are safe Harris started his own security business. Layla and Harris develop a relationship neither saw coming. It is HOT, sexy, and dramatic. I recommend this series.
Ask and you shall receive. After I finished reading Omega, I hoped for more for Harris and Layla. I had a hard time staying true to Roth after Harris, he was just...Wow! This is one of my favorite series, so happy it's continuing. Thresh is going to be fun. I can't wait to read what Jasinda writes for him.
This is the first I've read from this author in a while. I truly enjoyed it. The strong female - which I love reading compared to the women who need to be saved - the characters, and the action. This was almost a five star for me, but - in my own opinion - it lost some for me at the end. Not going to spoil it. I'm sure there are some people with those capabilities, but for me it was a little too out there and not completely believable. Other than that I greatly enjoyed this book.

I was pleasantly surprised by a cover reveal that appeared in my Facebook feed the other day. When I read the description I almost died on the spot!
Though I love Kyrie and Roth, I wanted to know more about Harris and Layla. It was awesome to see how their relationship has progressed since Omega.
Harris loved Layla like something fierce and would do anything to protect her. When she was kidnapped in the previous book, he promised himself that it would never happen again. When a dangerous case for his firm Alpha one Security comes up, he is determined to make her stay put. Layla is not a stay at home kind of girl. She was determined to help, even if Harris told her no.
I freaking loved the continuation of their story and the hotness between them was bananas! Thresh is back too and we also get introduced to some other new characters as well. Looking forward to the next book!

I have really enjoyed and love the Jasinda Wilder books - especially the depth and emotion in them. This book, though, I felt was lacking in that area. Yes, the sex was HOT, but I didn't feel that any of the characters grew or changed. The character growth in other books - "Falling into Us", "Stripped", etc. was inspiring and I was able to think about and grow myself. I enjoyed Harris - but it was not what I had become used to reading from Jasinda Wilder.
Perfect...just perfect! As Omega ended, I knew I needed more Harris & Layla, and Jasinda delivers again!
We knew Layla was a serious badass from her adventures in Brazil, and she doesn't shy away here either! Despite Harris' attempt to keep her away from action, we find hear knee deep in it; loving it and scared beyond belief all at once.
Although I hated that this was short, I loved getting an inside look at who exactly Nick Harris is...and I got my answer; he works hard, plays hard and loves his woman with everything he has!
Harris and Layla are the perfect imperfect couple ever! Not Roth & Kyrie perfect for them...and us!!!
This was my first book by this author, and overall I found the book to be okay. There wasn't anything particularly new or fresh about it, and I found myself skipping ahead a lot just to see how things ended up with the mission. I thought both H/h were over the top, especially when we get to her and her 40+ O's in a ~3 hour time period (yes, you read that correctly), and every one of the guys on this team are the baddest of the bad. Hasn't this been done over and over already? Again, the writing wasn't horrible, but it wasn't unique in any way.
